Parsippany-Troy Hills — Elaine Galliker Author Visit

Parsippany-Troy Hills

I’m super-duper excited to let you know that I’ll be at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library tomorrow evening (April 9) at 7, as the 4th Annual Elaine Galliker Author Visit!

A big thank you to the Galliker Family and Parsippany-Troy Hills for this wonderful honor! Ms. Galliker was a well-loved and respected elementary school teacher in the area and her friends and family started the Author Fund to continue her legacy. How wonderful is that? I am truly honored and humbled to be a part of your celebration of her amazing life.

The mayor, James Barberio, will be on hand to introduce me, and the library director, Jayne Beline, will also be there.

I’m really looking forward to answering the list of questions the second- and third-graders have prepared for me. I hope they’re not too hard. I’m allergic to multiple-choice!!!

I’ll be bringing a bunch of show-and-tell stuff to share with you 🙂

And for those young readers interested in becoming authors, or simply better writers, please bring a notebook and pen so that you can write down all the tips and helpful hints that I’ll give you!

If you need driving directions, or further information, here’s their website:http://www.parsippanylibrary.org/

By that, I don’t mean to say that you should drive there yourself, like Ruby Lu. Get someone with a real NJ drivers’ license, which required passing an exam and a road test, to take you. If your drivers’ license did not require an exam or a road test, forget it. Stay home.

As for me, I’ll be coming by train.

I’m so excited! I can hardly wait!!!

See you tomorrow night!

  1. It was such a wonderful event!! We have been fans of Alvin Ho for a few years and we even took the trip to Concord MA listening to Alvin Ho on our drive!
The best thing was to see Ms. Looks writing processes and her manuscripts!! It took a lot of editing to get a book published. We LOVE how Ms. Look writes all the time in her “writer’s notebook”! Thanks for visiting our library. Thanks Parsippany Library, for making the event possible for all!
