Saturday, 27 October 2012 – No trip to Beijing is complete without a trip to the Great Wall.

It is breathtaking.

The first time you see it, you can’t believe it.

The second time you see it, you can’t believe it.

How did they ever make this thing???

It just goes on and on … and on.

It’s immensely tall as well.

It’s a snake basking in the sun.

Everywhere you turn, you take a picture. It’s that photogenic.

And scary too.

It takes a lot of courage to climb the steepest parts.

So that’s why you need to have a special meal as a reward.

My cousin Lisa understands. She treated us to Peking Duck dinner at Duck de Chine.

It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
