Sunday, 28 October 2012 – The Chinese have adopted many western holidays. Halloween is one of them. People have been dressed in costumes since I landed a few days ago. I wished I had thought to take pictures of them to include in this post.

Alvin Lands in Beijing!

It takes 14 hours to fly from Newark to Beijing. (It used to take 19.)

It also takes 14 hours to memorize a list of Mandarin nouns and verbs. (It used to take four years.)
