Happy BOOK Birthday to Brush of the Gods by Lenore Look, illustrated by Meilo So! So excited to see this book out in the world now… My students and I received a copy of the book as a gift and we absolutely love it! We enjoyed watching Lenore Look read it aloud during our Skype author visit and now to have an autographed copy of our very own, well that just takes the cake! Thank YOU Lenore Look!!

Here’s my thoughts on the book: I’ve watched Brush of the Gods collect one lovely book review after another. See below for other reviews!

There are many reasons I think that Brush of the Gods…

FLEMINGTON, NJ — There’s a Chinese superstition that says if it rains on your wedding day it’s a sign of a prosperous life ahead. I chuckled at that thought two weeks ago while driving through a torrential rain to a school visit more than 50 miles from my home. Surely it was a sign of imminent death on the clogged New Jersey roadways where more than 600 people die in the nearly 300,000 crashes that occur every year!

Alvin Ho Allergic to Babies, Burglars, and other Bumps in the Night
by Lenore Look, illustrated by LeUyen Pham

My review: Alvin Ho Allergic to Babies, Burglars, and Other Bumps in the Night by Lenore Look, illustrated by LeUyen Pham – 1st grade and up! How fantastic was this Alvin Ho? I really do believe Lenore Look outdoes herself with every new Alvin Ho book she writes! I’ve been obsessed with Rube Goldberg for quite a while… what do you know? Lenore incorporated his creations into her story, in the most fitting way! Sympathetic pregnancy? Why yes, Alvin suddenly thinks he’s pregnant as well as his mom… Accidentally losing your entire savings and…
